On Milford Beach

Gentle waves adorn the sparkling shingle
And the sun has its way with the sea
Gentle folk pass by enjoying the warmth
Of early October in the brilliant light
No cares invade the peace of this place
No thoughts destroy the magical stillness
The last visit perhaps unless the weather blesses
And the cold of winter holds back a while
It is enough to sit and wonder at simple pleasure
The joy of tranquility blessing the solitude

  1. Hi Nathaniel, it’s Laura from Let it Come from the Heart. I’ve tried to contact you by email, and for some reason the server keeps telling me the delivery has failed, so I decided to contact you here instead. I was very pleased to receive your submission and have scheduled this poem for Monday 10th October at 12:00 pm GMT. Once it’s published, it will be accessible via the following link: https://inspiredstoriesandpoems.wordpress.com/on-milford-beach-by-nathaniel-coombes
